Katrina next page
A month after Katrina hit the Gulf coast in August 2005, I became part of a pilgrimage to the Gulf. Many brought their carpentry tools, but I brought my camera, hoping to record and personalize the essence of the devastation. I stayed in Mobile Alabama since rooms and food were scare in Mississippi. I focused on Biloxi, Pascagoula, and Ocean Springs, returning two more times--a month later, and a year later. I named the portfolio: "Meditations on an Altered World."
