On the left side below are "before"photos taken during my first two visits. On the right are their counterparts taken a year later in September 2006. At the top left we see what's left of an elegant home that collapsed and killed its four inhabitants. It was located three miles inland on a bayou. Likely a real estate developer rebuilt the gate on the right. In the middle row is an elegant home that faces the coast. In the bottom row is a wall of the Tivoli Hotel that was pulverized by Lady Luck, a casino barge that escaped its moorings during the hurricane. In the 'after' photo, the hotel is gone and only a pool of water and a background tree remain.
